LINC Classes Overview
Since 1991, CCLCS has taught English as a Second Language to immigrants and refugees through the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program. LINC is a program created by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)to teach newcomers English and help them settle in quickly and easily. The LINC program at CCLCS is funded by IRCC.
Over the years, we have provided quality instruction to more than 13,000 newcomers, helping them settle and adjust to life in Canada. Classes are full-time and free to Permanent Residents and Convention Refugees at three different locations. Canadian citizens, visitors to Canada, and Refugee Claimants are not eligible for LINC.
Our friendly and helpful staff are trained and certified to teach all aspects of English, including speaking, listening, reading and writing. With a variety of interesting and fun activities, you can share your experiences and knowledge with others while learning about living in Toronto.
