Registration Process for New, Returning and Transfer Students
The LINC/ESL Registration process for classes is slightly different depending on whether you are a new student, returning student or a transfer student.
New Students – if you have never been in a LINC class before
Returning Students – if you were in a LINC class before but you have been away
Transfer Students – if you are in a LINC class at another LINC school but you want to come to CCLCS
New Students
All new students must go to the YMCA for a language assessment. This information is from the YMCA website.
Step 1 – Make the appointment
Call 416-925-5462 or visit the YMCA website to make an appointment for a language assessment. There are 5 YMCA assessment centres:
- 4580 Dufferin Street, 2nd Floor, Toronto ON M3H 5Y2
- 1530 Albion Rd, Toronto, ON M9V 1B4
- 2 Lansing Square, 7th Floor, Suite 700, North York, ON M2J 4P8
- 365 Bloor Street East, 1800A floor. Toronto, ON M4W 3L4
- 10 Milner Business Court, Suite 600 Toronto, ON M1B 3C6
Step 2 – Test and register
At the YMCA, you will:
- Register (bring your documents and ID)
- Take a language assessment
Step 3 – We receive your information
If there is space in a CCLCS classroom, the person at the YMCA will put your name on the class list and you can start right away (they send us the information). If the class is full, your name will go on the waiting list. When there is space, we will contact you.
