2026 TESL Diploma Dates

TESL Canada program (Part 1 of TESL Ontario):

• includes the core class (dates below) and a 25-hour practicum which takes place after the core class has finished. The full-time program is 10 weeks long, and the part-time program is 24 weeks long, depending on the scheduling of the practicum. (Total 135 hours)

TESL Canada program Online:

• 2 evenings per week, 6:00 to 9:00 for 5 months (Part 1) or 6 months (Part 2). Note that the practicum which follows the core class must be done in person as per TESL Canada and TESL Ontario requirements. You will have the option of doing the practicum in person with CCLCS (daytime only) or another organization closer to your location, pending approval from CCLCS. TESL Ontario program:

• includes the Part 1 (TESL Canada) core class, the Part 2 core class (dates below), and two 25-hour practicums. The Part 2 core class and practicum take 9 weeks to complete full-time and 26 weeks to complete part-time, depending on the scheduling of the practicum. (Total 181 hours)

• those who have completed a TESL Canada-accredited certificate at another institution (eg. CELTA) and wish to upgrade to qualify for TESL Ontario may be able to go straight into Part 2.

Briefly:

TESL Canada      =      Part 1 (5 weeks or 16 weeks)      +      practicum
TESL Ontario      =      Part 1 (or equivalent)      +      Part 2 (6 weeks or 23 weeks)      +      2 practicums

• The dates below are for the core class and do not include the practicum. Practicums will be scheduled once the course has begun and take place after the core class has finished

• Practicums take place in person with one of our LINC classes except for online students who can make arrangements for off-site practicums.

• All classes below are in person unless indicated otherwise.
